4Sight Technologies, an enterprise software tech firm that recently moved to Boston from Silicon Valley, is eyeing two acquisitions and released a new product Thursday.
The company moved its headquarters from Silicon Valley to Boston in 2012 and now employs about 100 throughout the Boston area, with 200 other employees worldwide. 4Sight Technologies is eyeing two acquisitions this year in the business intelligence sector, Clarke said.
"These companies are going to bring us big-data technologies," Clarke said.
4Sight's newest product, called em360 enterprise performance and optimization software, allows executives to make data-driven decisions at all levels of an organization, according to the company.
The company, whose Latin American headquarters is in Panama, is targeting financial sector customers for the new product, which will be the catalyst for future growth in the Boston area, said CEO Hernan Clarke.
4Sight Technologies was originally founded in 1997 after the company had worked with NASA on an engine for a space shuttle project.
"What we've learned through many years of collaborating with the aerospace sector has allowed us to narrow down on some areas that are common to all private sector companies that have large IT departments," Clarke said.
